The Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Trust is sponsoring a fabric and nonperishable food donation drive on Saturday, May 9, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., in the alleyway behind the Glendale Central Library, 222 East Harvard Street, Glendale CA 91205.

Library staff will use donations of cotton or flannel fabric and elastic string to sew face masks for non-medical personnel, and they will use the nonperishable food items to restock the Little Free Library Food Pantries located throughout Glendale.

The Glendale Central Library loading dock is located on the east side of the building adjacent to the back of the Museum of Neon Art. Parking is available. Bagged donations can be left in clearly marked bins located along a walkway to the loading dock doors. Donors are urged to observe social distancing as they make their donations.

The Friends of the Glendale Public Library and the Glendale Library Foundation formalized a merger to become the Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Trust, or in short, The Trust, with a public meeting of the Friends membership in early January 2020. A formal signed Merger Agreement was submitted to the State of California following approval of the merger by membership.
