Join Author Tracy Deonn, Actors Zooey Deschanel and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Author Namina Forna, CNN Journalist Don Lemon, Authors Walter Mosley, Viet Thanh Nguyen, James Patterson, and more at this year’s, always free, virtual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

The Los Angeles Public Library will be sponsoring the virtual Children’s Stage and Beyond Baroque will sponsor the virtual Poetry Stage. Both feature prerecorded readings by notable children’s authors and poets. The event kicks-off at 5 p.m., Friday April 16, with the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes

The festival runs for an unprecedented full-week, through April 23. Access the calendar to plan your drop-in visits and reserve your virtual seats at your favorite programs. The festival is coordinated in conjunction with the University of Southern California, who usually plays host to the live-and-in-person, third-weekend-in-April, event on its campus in non-pandemic years.

Glendale Library, Arts & Culture looks forward to a large Glendale residents’ presence at this year’s event. We’ll see you at the LA Times Festival of Books!
