Be The Change Author Talk: Black Wall Street 100
Glendale Library, Arts & Culture welcomes Harvard Law School graduate, author, attorney, and consultant, Hannibal Johnson for a live literary event in which he will discuss his book Black Wall Street 100: An American City Grapples With Its Historical Racial Trauma in conversation with Actress, Activist and Writer Donzaleigh Abernathy on Thursday, May 27 at 6:30pm. Black Wall Street 100: An American City Grapples with its Historical Racial Trauma, endorsed by the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission and the 400 Years of African American History Commission, furthers the educational mission of both bodies. The book offers updates on developments in Tulsa generally and in Tulsa's Greenwood District specifically since the publication of Hannibal B. Johnson's, Black Wall Street: From Riot to Renaissance in Tulsa's Historic Greenwood District.

Be the Change events will build collective understanding of systemic racism, elevate the voices and stories of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), and inspire our community to be the change. The series is led by Glendale Library, Arts & Culture in partnership with the Southern California Library Cooperative and Outlook Newspapers. The series is sponsored by the City of Glendale Arts and Culture Commission, with funding from the City of Glendale Urban Art Fund.
