Celebrate Día de los Muertos

offrenda.jpg

Día de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday celebrated between October 31 and November 2nd. The holiday is celebrated throughout Mexico, particularly in the central and southern regions. It is also celebrated in other countries, including the United States. The holiday celebrates life, and it is a time when the living and dead are once again reunited.

In previous years, Glendale Library, Arts & Culture has been involved in organizing the City of Glendale’s Día de los Muertos Celebration, which had nearly 2,000 attendees last year. While we will not be holding any in-person events this year, the Library will be virtually celebrating Día de Los Muertos with several exciting events and activities. Join us as we celebrate with the virtual programs happening below:

What Does Día de Los Muertos Mean to You?

We will also be sharing instructions for completing the coloring pages, as well as tutorials for how to create the marigold and papel picado crafts. Registration is required.
